Introducing LVD (La Voz del Desierto). Music Times

La Voz del Desierto (translated The Voice of the Desert) or LVD to their fans, is the music group from the Diocese of Alcalá de Henares in Spain. Three of the members are Catholic priests and the others are lay worship leaders. LDV is made up of Daniel Gómez de la Vega – aka – Dani (vocals), Julio ( bass), Alberto Raposo – aka Rapo (electric guitar), Peter (keyboards), Jose Cortes (drums), God Alejandro – aka Alex (guitar) and Jesus Javier Mora – aka Curry (vocals).

This group uses their music to evangelize, proclaiming Jesus Christ to all. They perform at various parishes in the Diocese of Alcala de Henares in places like Getafe, Madrid and Perales del Río. Not strangers to big events, they have participated in the opening and closing events of the Youth Mission Madrid, at Music Course and Evangelism in Valladolid, at the Jotade Festival in Portugal and at the PjRock Festival organized by the Archdiocese of Toledo. During the World Youth Day Madrid 2011, LVD performed for young people from five different continents. In November 2012, they participated in the opening concert of the National Youth Ministry Conference organized by the Spanish Episcopal Conference. In April 2013 they took their music to Bilbao to participate in the Catholic Youth Night Congress and Public Life.

With three albums under their belts, the men of La Voz del Desierto released a fourth album in September of 2013 called él me vuelve a levantar (translated He Lifted Me Again). “The Lord Gets Me Up Again,” the second cut to produce a music video, is the first English language song the band has recorded.The rocker will have listeners sitting up and taking notice of the band from Spain.
